EKG

EKG, which is short for electrocardiogram, checks your heart’s electrical activity. This helps to find the cause of otherwise unexplained chest pains (such as pericarditis or angina); whether a pacemaker is working correctly; if medications are having a side effect on the heart; checking your heart’s health when other conditions (such as high blood pressure and diabetes) are present and finding the cause of heart disease symptoms.
